The EFRA Committee has extended the deadline for wildfire inquiry submissions to 12 noon on Monday 18 May. The Clerks appreciate that many of the very people they most want to hear from are currently fighting wildfires, and we are grateful to the Committee for showing this flexibility.
If you are able to submit before 1am on Friday 15 May
Submit via the EFRA Committee page. Please also note that the webpage refers to “climate and weather resilience”. This is correct: the wildfire call for evidence sits within EFRA’s wider climate and weather resilience inquiry, so you are on the right page.
Submitting after 1am on Friday 15 May and before noon on Monday 18 May
After 1am on Friday 15 May, the EFRA website will stop accepting submissions. The Clerks’ office is content for people to email submissions directly at: efracom@parliament.uk
What to send
Please do take part if you can. The Committee wants to hear your thoughts, ideas and concerns on wildfire risk and response, including from land managers and rural communities. You may follow EFRA’s suggested questions or use your own format.
Either route requires you to upload or email a Word document or PDF. You may include photographs, but please do not include logos. A submission does not need to be long: two clear paragraphs are absolutely fine, although the maximum is 3,000 words. What matters is that Parliament hears directly from those with real experience on the ground.
