Duty to Foster Communities | In pursuing the two statutory purposes, National Park Authorities have a duty to seek to foster the economic and social well-being of local communities within the Park.
Planning Authority Role | National Park Authorities are the local planning authority for their area, exercising town and country planning functions.
Duty to Co-operate | All relevant authorities (public bodies, statutory undertakers, etc.) must have regard to National Park purposes when exercising their functions affecting National Parks. |
